This is because most of the time, a semi-competent monk and any 3 warm bodies will get a gladiator point in random arena.

Failed? Not for me it didn't.
As for not showing all the skills, who cares? That is like complaining that the whole campaign wasn't open for us to beat...
When are people going to be thankful that we get this preview stuff for free and quit crying about it wasn't enough? There is nothing posted or written anywhere that says you are entitled to an event, quit complaining and enjoy what you get already.

lol, man that is so funny.... yet so true. Every other thread is a complaint... about a FREE preview weekend. GW players are starting to sound like a bunch of spoiled brats, never thankful for what they receive.

You mispelled congratulations. It's always funny when people go out of their way to try to write in correct grammer only to mispell words that were on my second grade spelling test.

You make it sound like this was an act of kindness by Anet. Its a marketing tool, they give you a taste of what you want and when you want more they take it away and make you buy the game. Its like a dealer giving someone free heroin. Its not in an act of kindness, they get you hooked and then sell it to you overpriced.

The weekend was great!! The only problem is that I didn't really get a grasp of the full power of a Dervish. The skills were woefully limited. My Scythe Mastery was at 13 and I only had 4 Scythe Mastery skills. *sniffle* Vital Boon is good. Maybe too good. It was invaluble early on and as the game progressed it provided a safety net agaist negative conditions. At least I can keep my character. Sheba Al Hakim will rise again!!!

Classic. This is why we should refrain from criticizing occasional spelling errors and stick to the content of the discussion.
I enjoyed the weekend event and will be buying Nightfall. I am looking forward to playing with the heroes, hopefully on other continents as well, and the other promised enhancements that we have yet to see.

The preview weekend was a great success imo. If you saved 10k balth and pvp'ed exclusively during this preview, you should have had about 20k Balth to spend on unlocking skills. However, the last preview was more about pvp, and this one was more about pve. If you created 2 pve chars, you could have unlocked about 40 skills this weekend (albeit from a limited list). All in all, not bad for a PREVIEW.
preview: An introductory or preliminary message, sample, or overview; a foretaste.
Revealing the whole game or all skills now would proly ruin the experience later.

I like how people still complain and whine when they get free stuff. Don't buy the game if you don't like it. Heck, don't even play GW if you don't like what Anet is doing - no one is asking you to play the preview, it was YOUR choice.
Too many immature and spoiled 5 years old on GW and in this forum
Whoever complained about skills not unlocked for you, are you going to complain about greens and gold not farmed for you next?
